At Carterton kindergarten we have used an Interactive Whiteboard (Mimio) for the past 3 years. This is integrated into our programme and is just another activity that children can choose to do on a daily basis.

Teacher Feature: Lisa Harvey shares her journey with Mimio so far.
We have been using the Mimio for about 2 months. At the moment there are 2 teachers using the Mimio with 2 more being trained. We have one Mimio full time in a Year 1 class and one in a Year 5 class.

Ever searched the internet for one particular resource and have something jump out at you? That's what happened to me yesterday. I was looking for Mimio resources other than what's on MimioConnect and read a heading, "What makes an IWB interactive?" from the site The Interactive Whiteboard Revolution

Waterman Innovations is the sole distributor of Mimio Classroom products and we were so excited and proud of our software designers who were nominated and was the winner of the prestigious CODiE Awards in the Best Educational Use of a Device-Specific Application category.

Are you like me and wonder what on earth is the twitter about Twitter and how on earth would I ever use it in the classroom?

I have taken exerts out of Frank Catalano's blog, 'Practical Nerd:Three ‘secrets’ of the digital classroom" and recommend you click on the link at the bottom of the page to read the whole blog and comments.

Teachers' Domain is a free digital media service for educational
use from public broadcasting and its partners. You’ll find thousands of
media resources, support materials, and tools for classroom lessons,
individualized learning programs, and teacher professional learning
communities.

Do you wish you had a professional environment where you could post your Mimio Lesson and ask other Mimio users to share their brilliance and expertise?
